| Q. What is propagation in reference to domain transfers to ProHostONE ? A. Information regarding site locations is recorded on DNS tables and nameservers. These records are updated by Internet Presence & Service Providers to reflect the addition and changes of site locations. The update of these records is referred to as propagation. Propagation normally lasts 48-120 hours. Simple domain transfers will not effect the normal operation of your website or email. Special care must be taken only when transferring your website to a new host to avoid outages. |
